John A. Walker, a 43-year-old resident of Mount Gilead, Ohio, died following a fatal two-vehicle crash in Morrow County on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
According to reports from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 5:43 a.m. at the intersection of County Road 24 and County Road 228 in Peru Township. Walker was driving a 2017 Jeep Wrangler when it collided with a 2012 Honda Accord driven by a 55-year-old man from Caledonia, Ohio. Authorities stated the other driver failed to yield at a stop sign, causing the collision.
After the impact, both vehicles left the roadway. John Walker was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver survived and was reported to have no injuries.
